Challenge: Develop a device that determines the orientation and presence of a tripod on a pallet. A 100% orientation control is required for fifteen types of products, displaying the results on the monitor in the staff cabin.
Solution: A vision system acquiring and processing images of tripods in the pallet in real time was developed. The NI-CVS unit processes the image, and the monitor in the staff cabin displays the results. The process unit communicates with Siemens controller on the line.
